After graduating from Ankara University, Faculty of Law in 2001, Burak Dimici started his carrier as the legal counsel at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with special appointment advisor to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. During this period, he was seconded to advise BOTAS and BTC on matters related to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline Project and was involved in the negotiations of various international agreements.
Previously he provided legal and regulatory advice mainly on energy and infrastructure projects as the senior associate in charge of the energy practice of the Istanbul office of a multinational law firm. He worked as an in-house counsel at the multinational energy conglomerate AES Corporation, taking active roles in the company’s joint venture with IC Holding (AES-IC) as well as the joint venture with Koç Holding (AES-Entek).
